Joe Wakeman, Filmmaker, Video Artist, Curator, and Educator, is the Executive Director of Millennium Film Workshop and has over a decade of hands-on involvement in various NYC film, art, and music community organizations, including NACG/Film-makers’ Cooperative, MIX Queer Experimental Film Festival, The Glove, The Kitchen/Haleakala Inc., Spectacle Theater. His work has been exhibited at MoMA, The Film-makers’ Cooperative, Harvestworks Inc., Anthology Film Archives, Roulette Intermedium. Joe has taught and administered educational filmmaking workshops through Millennium, and is currently an adjunct professor of Film & Video Lighting and Video Production at Marymount Manhattan College, and Film Production and Experimental 16mm Filmmaking at The New School.
