New York City Scholars

The following information applies only to visiting students participating in Northeastern University’s NYC Scholars program.

NYC Scholars have access to comprehensive mental health support through Find@Northeastern, which offers multiple pathways to care. Whether you need to speak with a counselor, connect with peers who share similar experiences, or develop coping skills at your own pace, resources are readily available to support your wellbeing.

Find@Northeastern provides a complete suite of services, including 24/7 crisis support and unlimited counseling sessions through Uwill, plus access to Headspace for mindfulness and Togetherall for peer support. For additional assistance with referrals, students can reach out directly to Support@Uwill.com.

For immediate mental health concerns, NYC Scholars can visit the Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) during Drop-in Hours, Monday through Friday from 2:00-4:00 PM. CWC staff will connect you with appropriate ongoing support through Uwill or other community resources.

Psychiatric services for medication management are available through off-campus providers in the NYC community. We strongly encourage students to research and establish connections with psychiatric providers before beginning the program to ensure continuity of care. For assistance finding a local psychiatry provider using your insurance, contact Support@Uwill.com.

Free Counseling

The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) supports MMC students’ psychological and personal wellness. CWC offers free short-term individual counseling, medication consultation and management, wellness programs, and referrals for treatment in the community.

The staff is made up of clinical psychologists, clinical social workers, a nurse practitioner, advanced doctoral psychology trainees and an administrative coordinator.

CWC is committed to working with students from our diverse and inclusive community. All students will be treated with respect and understanding.

In addition to counseling sessions, CWC provides:
