Johanna Pinzler

About

Johanna is a theatre director and educator. Since receiving her MFA From Brooklyn College (CUNY) in 2008 she has worked at regional theatres all over the United States spending much of that time as a Resident Director at Summer Repertory Theatre in Santa Rosa, CA. She has staged countless plays and musicals including The Importance of Being Earnest, Mamma Mia!, The Drowsy Chaperone, Boeing Boeing, Little Shop of Horrors, Company, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Avenue Q. She also proudly teaches on the acting and directing faculty at both Marymount Manhattan College and New York Film Academy’s Professional Conservatory of Musical Theatre. She loves working with theatre students and has been thrilled to direct productions of The Laramie Project, 10 Out of 12, Urinetown (MMC) and Godspell (an environmental performance outside at the Elevated Acre) and Once Upon a Mattress (PCMT). She also recently became a published writer having contributed a chapter to 50 Key Stage Musicals about Marc Blitstein’s The Cradle Will Rock available from Routledge. Director
