The Caucasian Chalk Circle is set in a time of crisis and uncertainty, with the content of the piece reflecting this context and its impact on the characters. It contains explicit depictions and/or descriptions of various forms of violence including, but not limited to: suicide, torture, death, and various forms of abuse (e.g., verbal, physical, psychological, sexual, body shaming, alcohol/drug). The production engages themes such as enslavement, racial stereotypes, gender identity and sexuality, and grief. There will be periods of loud sound and startling lighting levels.
