We hope your years at MMC are full of exploration — of your passions, new NYC neighborhoods, potential career paths, and ways to make an impact. Below, you’ll learn more about our events for incoming students — Accepted Students Days, Griffin Week Orientation, and Welcome Week — and you’ll find our New Student Checklist.
There’s a lot to be done between now and orientation. Be sure to visit your Admissions Portal often for pending requirements.
Get Ready for Welcome Week and Orientation
Move-in days, special receptions, social activities, and more await during our annual Welcome Week. This is your chance to get acquainted with the campus, form bonds with fellow students, and experience the excitement of New York life before classes begin.
Come get all of your academic-based questions answered! Every Tuesday this June, Admissions and Student Success Advising will be hosting Virtual Academic Advisement sessions via Zoom for all of our incoming accepted students. We have a variety of different sessions based on academic division as well as sessions for transfer students, international students, a Q&A on the writing placement ,and a presentation from the Office of Career and Professional Development.
Let’s make sure you have everything you need for your first semester at MMC. Here’s what you need to do before you arrive.
Submit your tuition deposit by May 1 (January 2 for Spring entrants) to accept our invitation of admission. You can do this via your Admissions Portal. For the Fall semester, Tuition Deposits are refundable until May 1.
If you are an international student requiring an F-1 student visa, please begin the Student Visa Process as soon as possible and submit your I-20 Application.
If you want to live in one of our residence halls, be sure to submit your deposit, fill out your pre-registration form, and then complete your housing application. Remember that it’s first-come, first-served, so you’ll want to apply sooner rather than later. Your Housing Application will not be approved until you submit both your Housing Application and your non-refundable $200 Housing Deposit. Housing Applications and Deposits are due June 1.
Complete a pre-registration form on your admissions portal to indicate your academic interests. First-year students will also complete a self-directed writing placement form. A member of the Student Success Advising Team will register you for classes based off of your pre-registration form and send you instructions on how to access your schedule.
All incoming students enrolled must submit proof of immunity to various diseases and the signed and dated Tuberculosis Risk Assessment.
Incoming students will receive an email from Sentry MD reviewing the immunization requirements and submission process.
Vaccination documentation must be uploaded to Sentry MD by July 15, 2026.
Vaccines are available through your Primary Care Provider or local pharmacy.
To set up your Sentry MD account and upload your immunization requirements and Tuberculosis Risk Assessment, refer to the email from Sentry MD with instructions.
To be considered for need-based financial aid, be sure to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1 for the following fall semester. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to apply. Our school code is 002769.
Make sure your bill is paid or payment arrangements have been made by July 21 (January 2 for Spring entrants) so you can start classes and — if you’ve chosen to live in one of our residence halls — move in.
Full-time students are automatically enrolled in our health insurance plan and a health insurance charge will be added to your tuition bill. If you have qualifying health insurance of your own and would like to waive out of our plan, you must complete an online waiver form by September 15 (February 15 for spring entrants). This step can be completed after you are registered for classes, starting July 15 (January 1 for spring entrants).
