ALEXA GREEN is best known for her turn as Glinda in the Los Angeles and San Francisco companies of the hit Broadway musical Wicked. Most notably, she appeared alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Patti LuPone in the international cinematic release of Stephen Sondheim’s Company with The New York Philharmonic live from Lincoln Center. Alexa has toured both nationally and internationally as a singer and actor on national tours and regionally and is passionate about the development of new musical theatre. Session singer with 16-time Grammy Award-winning record producer and songwriter David Foster and background vocals for Cher, Carole King, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Raye, Rodney Atkins, Rose Falcon, Aaron Tveit, Shoshana Bean, Alex Newell, Jenn Colella, and John Tartaglia and has appeared as a vocalist on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and The 2024 Met Gala. Featured soloist with symphonies nationwide, guest artist aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean and throughout Asia, and currently a soprano with the Tony Award-honored Broadway Inspirational Voices. Solo show, A Shining Hour debuted at Feinstein’s 54 Below and debut album, So Good produced by Broadway Records. So Good named Best New Solo Recording 2016 by BroadwayWorld and is available wherever music is sold and streamed. Voice faculty at Marymount Manhattan College, Molloy College/CAP 21, and private practice Alexa Green VOICE in NYC working in residence with singers, actors, and speakers both at the college and professional level with students appearing in over 30 Broadway shows and national tours. She is the current resident voice pedagogue with her colleague Chris Citera for BroadwayEvolved, providing professional development for voice teachers and musical theatre educators on a standard approach to singing with specialization in the understanding of belt and mix for performers today. She is also a member of the esteemed faculty of Broadway Dreams Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides youth and young adults of all socioeconomic backgrounds with performance training, mentorship, and skill building. Alexa is passionate about vocal health and longevity and with a background in musical theatre and contemporary commercial music (CCM) styles, Alexa accesses technical aspects to create a multidisciplinary approach for the professional voice user in singing, acting, voice and speech, and vocal production. She holds an M.A. from Columbia University, Teachers College in Music and Music Education with a specialization in vocal pedagogy and a B.F.A. CCM in Musical Theatre. Member of AEA, NATS, VASTA, and The Voice Foundation, and hopes to pursue her Doctorate and continue contributing to the field of pedagogy through her research and performance as a teaching artist and musician.
