About

Mondo Morales is the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions at Marymount Manhattan College, where he specializes in supporting students pursuing degrees in the performing arts. As an MMC alumnus, he brings both personal experience and professional insight to his work, helping guide students and families through the college search, audition, and enrollment process.

Mondo began his career as a dancer and later as a costume designer, working with leading artists and organizations in the greater New York dance community. This foundation in the performing arts shaped his understanding of artistic training, collaboration, and the dedication required to pursue a creative path. His transition into admissions allowed him to merge that artistic perspective with student mentorship and program advocacy.

At Marymount Manhattan College, Mondo works closely with faculty, admissions leadership, and prospective students to support recruitment initiatives, coordinate auditions and portfolio reviews, and communicate the values and opportunities of MMC’s arts programs. He is committed to helping students find environments where they can grow as artists, scholars, and individuals.

In addition to his work in higher education, Mondo has collaborated as a freelance art director with dance artists and photographers such as Jaqi Medlock, Jubal Battisti, and Matthew Murphy. His creative projects include the solo work Skinetic Moments, a series exploring color and paint as dancers’ apparel, presented in Harlem venues and through film collaborations. In Feb of 2018, Mondo released his first collection, named ONYX. This collection was presented at Brooklyn Fashion Week and is also featured in a short film by Angelo Soriano and choreographer Angelica Stiskin. These experiences continue to inform his perspective on artistic development and creative storytelling.

As an admissions leader and artist, Mondo values the transformative power of the arts and the role higher education plays in nurturing the next generation of creative voices.
