Our Residence Halls close on

Friday, December 19th at 12:00 pm

Students must be out of the residence hall

by Friday, December 19th at 12:00 pm. 


The Residence Halls are fully closed from

December 19th at 12:00 pm

to

January 4th at 12:00 pm

J-term Housing is

January 4th at 12:00 pm to January 31st at 9:00 am. 

Students must apply and be approved for J-term Housing.


Students who are registered for Spring 2026 semester as a full time, at least 12 credit hours, can keep their belongings in their room.

Students who are not registered for Spring 2026 semester as a full-time student, at least 12 credit hours, must complete a full move out by their check out time. 


Closing is different from move in. There are not RAs to help move items out of the building. Students can check out moving bins at the front desk of the building. All parking is NYC street parking or private parking garages. MMC does not provide parking, please pay attention to all street signs before parking. 

Students are highly encouraged to begin planning for move out as soon as possible. The day of December 19th is very busy in the buildings. Please plan for longer elevator waits.

Students who do not follow check out procedures are charged a $150 improper check out fee. To find all possible closing charges, please review the Resident’s Guide to Community Living
