About

Desmond Àdìsá is a globally celebrated percussionist, dancer, and educator with over two decades of experience. Specializing in Traditional West African and Afro-Caribbean rhythms as well as American club and street dance forms, Desmond has performed and taught across five continents. As a lead performer in STOMP for seven years, he electrified audiences worldwide, headlining in New York, Paris, and Brighton.

A master educator, Desmond works with esteemed institutions like the Alvin Ailey School, Misty Copeland Foundation, NYU, and is an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College. He’s also the Co-Founder of AmaKweku Cultural Arts, empowering communities through music and dance. Desmond has represented the U.S. as a cultural ambassador in Taiwan, Finland, and beyond, sharing his unparalleled artistry and inspiring global connection.
