About

With over 25 years of industry experience, Jonathan Finegold is a Guild of Music Supervisors (GMS) award-winning music supervisor, known for his work on Emmy-winning and Grammy nominated documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything.

Finegold specializes in indie films with a focus on documentaries and indie features. His approach to music supervision involves hand-selecting songs, securing the rights to those songs, hiring composers, orchestrating the recording and production of original music, arranging soundtrack deals, and coordinating “fair use.”

He is the founder of Fine Gold Music (FGM), a boutique sync licensing agency in NYC. FGM represents a large number of indie titles for sync, with placements in advertisements, films, television series, trailers, video game and more.

Finegold, a 25+ year voting member of NARAS (Grammy) is also an adjunct professor and the minor coordinator in the Music Industry program at Marymount Manhattan College and has taught at NYU for over a decade. He is also a special consultant for Brooklyn College in the formation of their music industry major. Finegold has presented and conducted masterclasses at music industry conferences and film festivals around the world, including BIME in Spain and Bogota, Reeperbahn in Germany, CMW in Toronto, and more.
