Peter Schaefer

Peter Schaefer has a BA from Northwestern University and a MA and PhD from The University of Iowa. He joined Marymount Manhattan College in 2008. He is the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. He also has a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor of Communication & Media Arts. Associate Dean Schaefer has taught communication and media studies classes such as Cultural History of Media, Music as Media, Principles & Theories of Communication and Capstone in Communication Arts. He has published in journals such as Critical Studies in Media Communication; New Media & Society; Media, Culture, & Society; and he has published in several anthologies.
