Michael Mendez is a New York City based actor, director and educator. He was recently seen performing on “The 77th Annual Tony Awards” with the Tony-nominated company of Water For Elephants. BROADWAY: Water For Elephants (Original Broadway Cast), Chaplin (Original Broadway Cast). TV/Film: Elsbeth (CBS), A Place in Hell (NEON), Last Week With John Oliver (HBO). NY Credits: Hey, Look Me Over! (Encores!) Fat Camp the Musical (Off-Broadway). Some Regional Credits Include: Shrek at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Man of La Mancha at Westport Country Playhouse, How The Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe, Damn Yankees at Goodspeed Opera House, Peter and the Starcatcher at Weston Playhouse, Billy Elliot at North Carolina Theatre, The Full Monty at American Music Theater of San Jose, Paquito’s Christmas at the Kennedy Center, and Water For Elephants at the Alliance Theatre.
Michael graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre, and received his M.F.A in Directing from the University of Idaho.
